Happy Birthday, Woody Hayes!

Wayne Woodrow "Woody" Hayes

February 14, 1913 – March 12, 1987

I was privileged to be able to have coffee with Woody in his office in The Ohio State University ROTC building. I was a freshman in the Navy ROTC program and he spoke with a couple of us about British Naval History before I headed out for a summer on a sub.

It was a privilege to meet him in person, shake his hand and separate the real man from the mythological football figure I'd constructed in my head from seeing him on TV every fall.

It was easy to see why his players demonstrated such love and admiration for him long after their days at OSU and on the gridiron were over.

When I think of "Coach", this is who I picture!

ProTechCoach News & Belated Happy New Year!

Well it has been a while since your ProTechCoach has checked in, but that isn't to say I haven't been busy. Indeed, there's been a lot going on here at ProTechCoach and you will see a marked up-tick in postings and other updates here.

Aside from being busy with several large projects and working with some time intensive client engagements, the holiday season was also quite busy with family, church and friends. I did a fair amount of travelling, including a trip to Turkey and Greece and enjoyed my time immensely!

While I do remain quite busy with existing enterprise and individual coaching customers, I am going to be kicking ProTechCoach into a higher gear in 2014. Please stay tuned here and on the social networks I utilize for more posts, more news as to services offered, speaking engagements and even a book or two I have in the works! I've also got  some branding updates and a web site redesign in the works!

Whether you are a digital rookie or advanced digital player, we can all use some coaching to improve our "digital game", including yours truly! I'd love to hear feedback from you on topics you'd like to see me cover or questions you'd like to see answered. Nothing is too trivial, so fire away!

Warmest regards and praying for a wonderful 2014 for us all!

Greece was a great place to ponder and plan a great 2014!

Back from Turkey & Greece trip!

Me and my father on the isle of Patmos. No, not a "footstep" of Paul, but quite moving to be where John wrote "The Revelation of Jesus Christ".

I spent the last two weeks travelling historical sites in Turkey and Greece with my wife and father. We went as part of Vision Forum's Faith & Freedom Tour: In The Footsteps of Paul. I'd like to thank all the fine folks at Vision Forum for their work in making this trip possible and fantastic. A particularly huge shout out to Kevin Turley for his tireless service before and during the entire trip. I hope you get a good rest up before managing the next excursion!

Touring this area of the world and seeing the locations where Paul carried the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ancient world with my father has been a long standing dream of mine. Here are some pictures of me and my dad during our trip.

Fear not! I won't turn this site into a travel blog. If you want to see more about my trip, come on over and follow me on Google+ if you aren't already.
